Kids Ticket Competition

Race day is not just for the grown-ups — we have something fun for the kids too!

At Walgett Races 2026, children can take part in our Kids Ticket Competition for the chance to WIN on the day.

How to enter

1. Kids collect used bookmaker tickets

During the day, children are to collect used bookmaker tickets from around your group or family.

2. Write child’s name on the back

Make sure your child’s name is clearly written on the reverse side of each ticket.

3. Place tickets in the competition bag

Children drop their named tickets into the Kids Ticket Competition wool bag outside the Secretary’s Office.

4. Be at the main stage for the prize draw

Winners will be drawn at 4:45pm from the main stage.

It is a simple, fun way for kids to get involved in the excitement of race day — and the more tickets they collect, the more chances they have to win!

Important details

• The competition is open to children under 18.

• Winners must be present to claim their prize.

• If a winner is not there when their name is called, the prize will be redrawn 60 seconds later.
